I met her in the February 2009 issue of the <a href="http://www.MyAmericanArtist.com">American Artist</a> magazine.<br> I love her paintings of people the most - her colors are so lively and her strokes are just beautiful. You should check her blog <a href="http://www.karinjurick.blogspot.com">"A Painting Today"</a> to see how passionate she is about her art. <br> She is also hosting an awesome blog <a href="http://www.differentstrokesfromdifferentfolks.blogspot.com">"Different Strokes from Different Folks (DSDF)"</a> where she invites artists to submit their paintings created from a photo image that she posts on her blog periodically. You get to see so many amazing styles of different artists, who painted from the same photographic image. Any artist can participate in it to save sheltered animals. Make a painting of an animal in your local shelter, or of an animal who's a part of a rescue operation, and donate the painting to the shelter or the rescue group. Then the shelter or rescue group will auction your art. Or it can use your piece as a gift for anyone adopting the animal you've painted. You can paint the animals live, take your own photographs, ask the shelter or rescue group to take photographs, or use the pix on <a href="http://www.petfinder.com">www.petfinder.com</a>.
